Supporting Inclusive Practices

Countries are recognizing the need for legislation and policies that provide more inclusive programs for underprivileged and disabled learners. Supporting skills development for underprivileged and disabled students to find fulfilling post-schoolwork has been particularly important. This means access programs for students with learning disabilities (physical, sensory, and intellectual) should be easily implemented.

CEI has developed access initiatives for poor and disabled people. Staff have combined education and training qualifications with TVET and special education experience to build programs that expand participant access to skills development and basic qualifications.

Disability Hot Spots

Emphasis has been on determining the level of support needed for work readiness and competences in key industries including retail, horticulture, and hospitality.
