Deepening the delivery for Skills Development – Rwanda

Deepening the delivery for Skills Development, Employment, Matching and inclusive Growth (November 2022- ongoing). CEI was awarded the contract by the Master Card Foundation to support the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) Chief Skills Office (CSO) and National Skills Development and Employment Promotion Strategy (NSDEPS) and stakeholders to implement the strategy.

A total of 17 different interventions will be supported over the pillars of skills, employment and matching, with the establishment of a performance-based monitoring and evaluation system.

Through this project CEI is supporting the CSO in producing analytical insights on labour market dynamics and skills development in line with NSDEPS related programmes. The support is also not limited to operationalise the Sector Skill Councils in number of priority sectors, including Manufacturing, Hospitality & Tourism, Agriculture, Infrastructure, Financial Services, ICT and Mining, Gas & Petroleum, with systems established for quality assurance and funding modalities including Setting up of a National Skills fund with accompanying legal and administrative frameworks in place and develop funding modalities to expand the uptake of apprenticeships, professional internships, and skills programs under this intervention
